I got a loan with Cash Call Nov. 2005 for 2500.00....It is March 2009
and I am still paying!! My monthly payment is 217 and I have seen
no change in my balance. I have never been late and I just want out.
I was 18 at the time and just wanted to help my family but this have
a huge nightmare.

I have been a victim also of Cash Call.  They are the worst and they
do not work with you.  I also took a $2,500.00 loan and still paying.
I really regret this.  I am down for the class action suit.  I am
really desperate to pay off ASAP.  I live in Charlotte, NC.  Please
help me.

I have had a loan with cash call for almost a year and have paid on
time with EFT. I just cancelled the EFT and was immediately called
several times in one day by them stating that now my payment date is
the 1st of the month as opposed to the 15th. That my paying on the
15th with EFT was a courtesy. I informed the CS rep that I was
unaware of that and that my payment would be made by the 15th as I
had already faxed the EFT cancellation on the 5th. Since that call I
have been called several times a day on both my cell and home phone.
They have even called my job even though from the beginning of the
loan term they were told those calls were not allowed at my job.
Yesterday I faxed them a do not call request, and that all
communication was to be mailed. Today they have already called twice
and it is only 10:00am. How can I get in on the class action suits
against them? They are rip off's and lie constantly. They're calls
are harassing and they have broken all rules set up.

Thank You

Salvador Rico

I got a loan from Cash Call around Dec 2005 for $5000. A year later I
called and asked how much my loan payoff was. They said $5068 (more
or less) and I asked why. They explained that there was a $75
processing fee. I said that still didn't explain why my loan was over
$5000 after 12 months of paying over $250. They said at a 59%
interest fee, I only paid $7 toward my loan. I told them that I don't
remember them telling me this to get the loan. After some
calculating, it would take 10 years to pay off at over $30,000. I
immediately paid an additional $500 toward principle which took off
an additional 5 years (wow). Over the course of 3 years I continued
paying the +$250 which has totaled over $9000. I still owe just
under $4000. I didn't pay the January payment and have since been
getting call after call form their collection agents. Being in the
real estate market (and no, I didn't make much), I would think that a
"Truth in Lending" would be a priority before any person si
gns or takes on a loan, especially with such a large payback. I
don't remember the forms stating that it would take 10 years and over
$30,000 to payback. By the time I realized (1 year later) it was too
late. What can I do?

Sheryl L. Briggs

My name is Sheryl L. Briggs, January 22, 2007 I contacted Cash call in
desperate need of financial help. I was financed $5,000 with an
annual percentage rate of 59.91% and the finance charges ( the dollar
amount the credit will cost me)$16,411.98. Total of payments(the
amount I will have paid after all payments are made as scheduled)
$21,411.98. Is this legal? These people are predators they prey on
people who struggle day to day to pay their bills and when you are
down they come along and pick you clean these are the people who get
bailed out when will the prey get their bail out from banks who do
this? HELP US!!!!

I got a loan with cash call and had made paid my payments on time
until I got sick. I call and asked if I can lower a payment until I
able to return to work full-time. I receive several call stating
I work for a charities place and they should be able to assist me. I
thought the worker were rude. Now Cash Call has cause my credit a lot
of damage.

Hi I have had a loan with the company Cash Call since 2006. I've been
paying them more than $200.00 a month since 2006 yet they say I still
owe them $2400.00 I have already aid them more than what I owe. Also
this company calls all day and are very rude. I've had Cash Call
employees tell me if my credit was good I wouldn't have had to get a
loan with them. I don't understand how that is a customer service
reps business. Anytime I ask to speak with a manager one is never
placed on the phone managers never seem to be around. I'm fed up with
Cash Call I want them out of my life.

There are a few credit unions that are for the underserved or low
income population. If someone tells you that all low income people
can't manage their income, then they are telling you the half truth
and a half lie. Some low income people can skillfully budget their
money. I believe payday lenders and sub prime credit card companies
charge high interest and fees, because they wouldn't barely making
enough money on a low credit limit or small loan amount with a low
interest rate.

I wish there where more credit unions like North Side Community Credit
Union in Chicago and Unitus Credit Union in Portland, OR.
On the following link, watch and hear how North Side Credit Union
rescued this young lady from the payday loan trap before her credit
became damaged.

I got a loan from Cash Call and am being harassed at work, home and
on my cell phone.
I agreed to pay them $100.00 per month so that they would stop harassing me.

I'm glad to see that someone is doing something about them.  I had an
account with them. I wasn't able to keep up with the loan payments.
They threatened to sue me and have my wages garnished and they called
my home and place of employment numerous times a day. They even
called a shift supervisor who isn't even in my chain of command and
discussed my account with him. They told him a bogus name and told
him to tell me to call them (cash call). It was a mess he in turned
called my supervisor. I called cash call and before the man could say
anything, I told him to give me a second while I turn on my recorder.
I never heard from cash call again.

I took a loan out from Cash Call to fix my car, I asked for $1500 and
they basically said that I had to take $2600 an that $2600 is the
lowest they lend.  Out of that $2600 they charge a $75 processing
charge, so the amount I would receive was $2525.  I made all my
payments and was late once.  After 2 years I check may loan balance
and I still owed $2200 dollars, I was expecting about $1500.  As I
looked into this more the percentage amount was 99 percent I almost
fell off my chair.
I started looking into how to raise the money to pay this hoodwink.
My wife was not working, and is still looking for work for over a
year, so it was really had to put any extra money aside to pay this
down.  Finally after 2 1/2 years I borrowed out of my 401K to payoff
Cash Call.
When I received my final paperwork the amount financed was $2525, the
finance Charge was $6575.97 and the amount paid was $9100.97.  This
is more that price gouging.  This cannot be legal, I cannot believe
that the government has turned a blind eye on this type of practice.
Im all for them charging interest subprime rates for these high risk
loans but after the balance is met and a reasonable finance charge
paid close it.  I paid almost 3 times the borrowed amount in 27
months.
Who are they actually helping? not the consumer who is up against the
fence with the economy today.
Isn't this how the country got into this mess in the first place?

I took out a loan from cash call and did not realize that I would be
paying nearly 100% interest. I knew it was high but I was under the
impression it was 48% their loan docs are very misleading and I also
never received a Truth In Lending disclosure. I just had to suck it
up and deal with it. I have one last payment with Cash call on Feb
1st of 2009 and then I will be done. I called Cash call to confirm
this and they actually had the nerve to try to get more money fro me.
They tried to tell me that while my last payment was $159.83 in the
first of Feb. I also had to pay a pre. I demanded to speak to a
supervisor and when he came on the phone he tried to back up what the
representative was saying. After threatening them if they took out
more than $159.83 in Feb they told me they would not try to deduct it
from my checking account but they said they would keep calling me if
I did not pay the extra money not disclosed. I just hung up on him.
10 min later he called back to te
ll me that I was correct and all I owed was the last payment of
$159.83. If I had not stood my ground or had been ignorant about what
they could or could not do they would have tried to get more money
out of me. This is not just legalized loan sharking it is plain
robbery. Paul Reddam should be ashamed of himself for preying on
people who are in very vulnerable situations. These people are so
desperate that they do not look at the big picture or further down
the road they just need money NOW. They do not understand the
repercussions of their actions until it is too late.

I took a loan out with them in a time of desperation. My wife and I
were about to loose our home and the job market was really bad. I
took the loan because I had just started a new job it would be almost
a month before I would get my first pay check. I have been paying on
it regular since Jan. 06. I recently stopped paying because I
realized the amount I have sent them is almost $9,000 for a $2,500
loan. I knew the interest rate was high but I had hoped to pay it off
in the short term. Short term never happened and I kept paying the
payments. I have since tried to talk to them but the choose not to
discuss anything, they only make demands. I was sent a pay off
schedule. But when I called them about it to set it up they wanted
the full amount. I have since opened a new back account and do not
let them know my information for fear they will take more than
agreed. If they steal money from me or take more than we agree on, I
have no recourse. I can sue but I can't afford it and t
hey know it. They will not allow me to send any payments the reps
want my account numbers and I won't give it to them.  Now I am
enduring harassing phone calls to my boss and fear it will make me
look bad to them. Then cause me to loose my job, then where will I
be? This is ridiculous when they won't even take a payment except
from my bank account.

RE: CASH CALL

They lie and charge outrageous interest but for all of us with
marginal credit, we have very little choice!!!!
I took out a loan with them, applied for $2000 and was told that I
should take out a $5000 loan and pay back $3000 right away because
the interest rate was one half of the 100% rate of the smaller loan.
When it came time to finalize the loan, I was told that I didn't
qualify for the larger loan and had to settle for the higher
interest loan for the lesser amount.
I signed up, because I was in dire need of help, for a loan of $2600
and paid $1000 dollars back right away.
I paid regularly, by direct withdrawal from my checking account,
$216 per month for 17 months.
Last month, I fell back into financial need and asked them to
refinance my loan (since I did not know of any other source for a
loan).  They told me that there would be no problem but I had to pay
off the current loan, first.
I for-went other obligations and paid off the Cash Call loan then
immediately applied for a new loan.  Even though NOTHING had changed
since I first applied to them for a loan, they declined to renew my
loan.
They did never explained why they declined the new loan, never sent
me any paid loan papers or conformation, and, as they promised, never
sent me the legally required declination forms.
They may have done me a favor. But, as many of us in my situation
realize, sometimes we need financial help and our credit history
limits our choices. It's always has major consequences when you
promise to pay past due obligations and you are unable to do so!!!
I think Cash Call walks the fence between legal and illegal business
practices!

I have been with cash call for over 2 years and have payed well over
the principle amount and my balance hasn't changed.  I just want to
end this loan without paying $216 a month for the next 6 years.  I
can't afford this anymore.

Contact the attorney general in your state. Tell them about the
lawsuit from W.Va. Now is the time to act.

This is the beginning of the end for cash Call. They are now only
making loans in three states.

Attorney general targets online lender
Attorney General Darrell McGraw maintains that Cash Call is running a
scheme to make illegal, predatory loans to West Virginians at
interest rates of up to 99.25 percent annually.
By Andrew Clevenger
Staff writer

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- With a televised ad campaign that boasted Gary
Coleman of "Diff'rent Strokes" fame as a spokesman, Cash Call promised
quick loans of up to $5,000, even for people with not-so-great credit.

But Attorney General Darrell McGraw maintains that Cash Call is
running a scheme to make illegal, predatory loans to West Virginians
at interest rates of up to 99.25 percent annually.

Last month, McGraw's office filed a lawsuit against Cash Call,
accusing the California-based company of using a South Dakota bank to
circumvent West Virginia's usury laws.

"Cash Call created a business model intended to fly under the
protective radar of West Virginia laws that set limits on interest
rates to protect consumers from financial calamity," McGraw said. "It
is these kinds of unregulated lending practices that have brought
West Virginia consumers and the nation to a financial precipice."

In response to an August 2007 subpoena from the Attorney General's
Office, Cash Call produced a copy of an agreement with First Bank and
Trust of Milbank, S.D. Because a Federal Deposit Insurance
Company-chartered bank issues the loans, they are subject to federal
regulation and not West Virginia law, Cash Call argued.

But the agreement states that Cash Call is required to buy the loans
back from the bank after three business days. In the copy of the
agreement given to the Attorney General's Office, all the dollar
figures are blacked out, making it difficult to sort out the business
arrangement.

"We issued [the] investigative subpoena to try to figure out who
bears the predominant economic interest [and financial risk] in the
loan," said Assistant Attorney General Norman Google, who works in
the Consumer Protection Division.

Cash Call's obligation to immediately buy back the loans arguably
makes it the real lender, he said. By redacting the agreement,
Cash Call cast suspicion on its business practices, he said.

About 4 years ago I called Cash Call and borrowed $5000.00.  I was
told it would be a high interest loan at about 59% .  I found out
that I could pay on this loan for 30 years at $250.00 a month before
it would be paid off!!!  I feel they duped me and I did not
understand this was going to pay about $30,000 for a $5000 dollar
loan.  I have asked for payoff info and they will not tell me a clear
amount.  I advise anyone not to borrow money from these crooked
lenders.

Over two years ago we we had a financial hardship. We were still
reeling over my husband past disability. We needed money for rent and
other expenses.  Since we were so desperate my husband called Cash
Call and took out a loan with them. I didn't find out later that the
terms of the loan was 59.9% apr for 120 months. We have been paying
on this loan about 28 months. We still owe them over 5ooo dollars. We
have never be late but when we moved from California to Oklahoma we
had a few day lapse in the monthly payment ( we have 15 day grace
period) they called 8-11 times a day. asking for an immediate payment
they wanted us to western union it they didn't want to wait for a
check. We got that straighten out and we have never been late ,but
with 59.9% apr. we will be paying for ever.
I called today to see if they could lower the rate.
They asked why. I told them that the rates were to high and i needed
my principal to be paid down a little quicker than 2 dollars a month
they said they didn't lower any ones interest rates. Also I asked it
they could start sending me monthly statement saying what the
interest rate are and break down of what being applied to interest
and what to principal. They rep on the phone said they won't do that
monthly ,but the could send me a list from the beginning of the loan.
I would like to know it is legal to charge such high rates
and is there anything we can do to get them payed off sooner.  I am
working on getting a lower interest rate loan ,but in the meantime is
there something I can do?

Regards
Karen Magana

I borrowed $5000 back in April of 2007 and have the payments debited
regularly from my checking account monthly in the amount of
$254.03/month. I spoke with a Cash Call rep on 11/20/2007 and found
out for the FIRST TIME that only $4.00-$5.00 per month is actually
going toward principal. Up until that day (11/20/07), I had repaid
$1,716.58 of which only $30.10 went toward the actual principal!!!! If
I continue with this loan at the rates I am being charged, it will
take me well over 7 years to pay the principal amounting to well over
$22,000.  This loan was to get me OUT of debt, not put me further
into debt!  PLEASE HELP!
